Best to think of this like Archie comics or like Garfield but with a romantic focus

I say this because it's one of those stories that are intentionally made to drag on. Like something funny you read then move on. It's more about comedy if anything and uses the romance as plot to help extend it's jokes. It's not this super deep fantasy romance but about an office worker and how her brain works but explains it in a silly way. It is also intended to be cute and have you bond with Yumi as a character. Because while on the outside Yumi doesn't seem too emotionally expressive in the beginning she becomes more complex as the story goes on. This isn't a manwha that you'd usually get hyped over but if you're depressed, bored, or just looking for something wholesome for adults this would fit in that category.

I'll be honest this wasn't one comic I just read, for I had known about it for along time (6years at least) . I didn't read it everyday but during the span of those years I would check it out every now and then. So it hits different when reading this growing up Vs just finding this to read after you know it's finished. There's some heart break for our FL but each relationship she grows from and that's part of what makes the series good.

I hate daily , but I really appreciate that Webtoon gave Yumi's Cells five free daily es.

The concept is refreshing and interesting. It makes you think about how you function internally and what goes on in your mind.

My sleep cell is calling me, so my writing cell is not operable and I'm not able to post a good comment, but give this a read! I being resistant because I didn't like how the art looked, but you get used to it and the art gets a glow-up so subtly that you don't even notice it.

I really enjoyed growing up with Yumi. The whole journey was a nice and fun, emotional ride, and while the ending seemed too fast, it was overall enjoyable.

P.S. I hope the live action drama will do justice for the webtoon! I haven't seen it yet, but hope it's just as good, if not better. 🙂

Can hardly believe this has nearly reached 500 chapters when it ran out of ideas a looong time ago. The initial concept was interesting, but then it just drags on forever with Yumi's completely uninteresting romantic escapades.

Incredible art and wonderful characters in (oftentimes) funny situations. The author portrays Yumi in a very realistic light and shows a humorous insight to the cells daily lives! The only downside is the somewhat toxic fanbase this series has on Webtoons, the comment section just blows into a massive fit of rage whenever a new face makes an appearance.

I ended up really really liking it. The concept has been explored before, but it's executed very well--I find myself appreciating the author's creativity quite often. The art has also grown on me. I thought it was plain and too cartoon-ish, but now I think it's pretty cute, haha.

It's a light-hearted story with a cute romance, but it can be surprisingly true at times. And I've grown pretty fond of Yumi and all her cells. Especially Love Cell and her dirty mouth lol.

Yumi's Cells is a slidetoon about the happenings inside the head of a 30ish year old office lady named Yumi and her currently 44 chaptered story has very VERY gradually become one of the most I look forward to on LINE webtoon.

There is a steady plot of romance and drama that the personality chibis bicker and work together to deal with and that keeps the light hearted gags and cuteness on track. most of which are actually quite brilliant which was a pleasant surprise from my initial bias of the old-timey-looking art.

The comic isn't meant to impress. As it entertains this idea that is explored nowadays, the comic builds a world that is something uniquely of its own, that I've grown to have fun with, and that causes me to squeeze my face at times.

Yumi's Cells is not a ZOMG READ THIS BEFORE YOU DIE type deal but it is something that may make your perspective on life a bit more humorous. If you have a smart phone and would enjoy a weekly pick me up, definitely check this one out.
