A classic long form will they/won't they romance. If you don't like that kind of thing, this won't be for you. However, that being said, it isn't just that. The characters are all endearing and well written, and the art is absolutely gorgeous. The artist should be commended for making bton, something I had only associated with old people, actually look cool. Decent to strong 7 on this one.

I liked chapter 2 so much, instead of being a baseless virgin, he actually is able to be a chad, that being that if she does not care that she would have to live with a guy, why should he care about living with a girl. If it doesnt bother her, it should not bother him

HOLY FUCK I LOVE CHAPTER 44, I LOVE HOW THE MC AND HIS FRIEND HANDLE THE SITUATION. ITS NOT AKWARD, ITS NATURAL AND SHIT

Loved the start to this one, but after 80 chapters I had to it to myself that it had only gotten worse from the start. If you're looking for a sports manga, this isn't it. The matches basically happen off screen. If you're looking for a romance manga this isn't it either. Somehow from volume one onwards the main couple is making negative progress. Every time that progress could possibly start happening in the story another stale trope or pointless new character is introduced to stall it out. The art is great though.

Now, I'm not saying it's bad enough for the rating I gave it and I only rated it 1 because it certainly isn't that good.

I loved the one shot and would rate it as at least 9/10.

But after reading up to the current chapter, it's just turned into a generic love triangle drama. I liked the earlier chapters because it's rare to see a male lead's female friend be ive of his crush. But no, the author had to add her as a rival in the series. I just don't think I can waste my time reading this anymore.

Uplifting light romance&sports manga

I'm a sucker for good sport+romance but I haven't seen any good newcomers to the genre in a while, so I was really happy to see this on Manga Plus. It's still too early to judgment, but so far I'm really enjoying the series. There is a strong focus on romance, but it does't push the sport to the background, there is some good sport rivalry, and plenty of room for the main character to grow. Add great art to the mix, and some positive vibes that ooze out of every chapter, and it makes me look forward to every new chapter.

this has already dropped from a 9/10 rating which I gave the oneshot when it first came out 8 months ago to a 5/10 at best so far for the serialized version. You'd think the author decided to see just how many over-used clichés he could stuff into the very first chapter. After reading the chapter, my first thought is that it should never have been serialized.
